Mini Me is one of It’s Showtime’s daily segments. Carl Nathaniel Garcia is one of the contestants last week. During the segment, the boy portrayed Coco Martin’s role in his Teleserye, Ang Probinsyano. Moments after, Hashtag McCoy de Leon entered the stage wearing a police uniform. He brought three things with him: a megaphone, an alarm clock, and a trophy. Carl was asked to picked one thing that he would give the policeman  and he picked the megaphone. Vhong was intrigued and asked the little boy why didn’t he choose the trophy since police are known to be heroes and they deserve to receive a trophy. The young boy immediately answered, “Eh anong hero? Namamaril naman yan” which shocked the madlang people.  Showtime hosts felt the need to explain that it might be because of the rampancy of police reports being shown in television. The said episode earned the attention of netizens as they commented how sad it is that kids today have this kind of mindset towards policemen whose jobs is to keep us safe, and not to intentionally harm us.
