Jovet Baet, a security guard in iPacific Residences located in Lavezares St. Binondo Manila, got in a heated argument with Chinese businessman, Albert So. It all started when So parked his luxurious motorcycle in a parking space indicated for iPacific residents only. Jovet, being an employee who must adhere to the company’s rules, moved the motorcycle away. This move angered the said businessman which started their argument. Jovet decided to call a barangay tanod named Georgina Arsaga to help settle their dispute. Jovet tried his best to remain calm, but Alfred was furious and kept shouting at Jovet. This forced Jovet to use his gun on Alfred which unfortunately ended his life. Four innocent lives were taken as well because of Jovet’s hasty move. After the incident, he tried to escape, but he was caught by SP02 Elmer Quintos along with members of San Nicolas Crime Prevention. He was then brought to the police station for questioning and his immediate arrest. What bothers the netizens now is that a Facebook user posted about the case, and is siding with Jovet. He enumerated reasons as to why Jovet is the real victim here, and called out to everyone who reads, to help the family of the ill-fated security guard.
